The Windy City moved north for the month of December, as Metalworks played host to a cavalcade of Hollywood's finest, for the soundtrack to the movie version of the Broadway musical Chicago, currently in production in Toronto.

Metalworks was graced with the likes of: Catherine Zeta Jones (The Haunting, Traffic), Richard Gere (Rothman Prophecies, Unfaithful), Renee Zellweger (Bridget Jones' Diary, Nurse Betty), John C. Reilly (The Perfect Storm, Boogie Nights) as well as music artists Mya and Queen Latifah.

Production duties for the soundtrack have been assigned to engineer Joel Moss (Barry Manilow, Talking Heads, Tony Bennett, Harry Connick Jr.), ProTools engineer Gustavo Celis (Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Mandy Moore, Shakira) and producer Rick Wake (Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Destiny's Child).

The movie is slated for a Christmas 2002 release.
