| As part of ongoing efforts to provide the music, film and tv industries with the very best of service, Metalworks Studios has undergone a major restructuring.
Effective immediately, Raine Munro is appointed Managing Director / Studio Services.
Raine brings with her a wealth of expertise and knowledge including 16 years in A&R at EMI Music Canada, as well as 2 years as Studio Manager at Bryan Adams’ Warehouse Studio in Vancouver. “Queen Raine” replaces Alex Andronache at the helm. Alex has moved on after 20 years with Metalworks to head up Worlds End Canada, an affiliate of Los Angeles based Worlds End Producer Management. The new division is expected to strengthen the working relationship between Worlds End and Metalworks.

IA new department has been created which encompasses all DVD related services. In addition to offering 5.1 surround mixing, mastering & audio encoding in both DTS & Dolby formats, complete production packages are now available providing project management from start to finish.
Lori Chappell, Director / DVD Development, heads up the department and brings with her 15 years of experience with A&M Records and Hoodoo Films. Lori’s broad based skillset will address all aspects of DVD production including creative concepts, cataloguing and restoration of existing film or video footage, photos, graphics or other elements, shooting custom footage if required, and menu design. Tom Cochrane’s DVD “Trapeze” has just been released and a Triumph “Live At The US Festival” DVD is in the works.
Jeff Jewett has been promoted to Manager, Mastering and DVD Services, overseeing the implementation of 5.1 mastering, DTS and Dolby audio encoding, DVD-A and SACD services. These enhanced capabilities are in addition to the world class CD mastering services already provided to both domestic as well as international clientele. Award winning Mastering engineers Brett Zilahi and Nick Blagona remain as co-department heads.
