Tom Cochrane's best of DVD compilation "Trapeze" is now in stores, and is stacked with hits from Tom's solo days as well as Red Rider and includes two stellar brand new recordings, "Just Like Ali" and "Pictures From The Edge."

The disc contains twenty-one songs all mixed in 5.1 surround sound by mixer extraordinaire Richard Chycki (Mick Jagger, Aerosmith) with an added bonus to the consumer of playback in 2.0 stereo, 5.1 Dolby Digital & DTS.

The Metalworks DVD production team consisted of Gil Moore (Producer), Lori Chappell (Line Producer) and Jeff Jewett (Production Manager).

"Just Like Ali", an absolutely stunning track, garnered some special attention from music video directors Don Allan and Christopher Mills. First time for both to shoot in High Definition, they contributed their time and expertise in a collaborated effort creating a dynamic and aesthetically beautiful performance clip. The video has already been added to rotation at MuchMoreMusic.

"Pictures From The Edge". the second new single for the package, is a melodic rock style ballad. The reflective nature of the song called for a personal, yet abstract visual concept. With the aid of editor Christopher Mills and Tom's own collection of photographs we created a "photo gallery" video. Numerous hours were spent selecting and scanning unique collages then with wizardry of post-production we gave these photos a life of their own.

"White Hot", a Red Rider classic without video support, begged for a gritty look. With literally tons of tour home movies, supplied by Tom and band/crew members, and hours worth of stunning African World Vision footage our biggest battle here was pairing all this spectacular footage down to only 5+ minutes! The outcome is a very personal video, that highlights Tom's live shows and one that fans world-wide could potentially discover themselves in!

One on one style Interview With Greg Quill (Toronto Star columnist) was shot on Mini DV in the Mastering Room at Metalworks. It was the perfect setting for an up close and personal conversation.
