| Chicago - The Movie", the long-awaited film version of the Broadway hit, scored the most awards at the recent 2003 Golden Globe Awards. The sultry jazz musical won the Golden Globe for best musical or comedy while co-stars Renee Zellweger and Richard Gere took home awards for Best Actress and Actor in a musical or comedy.
The frisky musical, adapted from the stage hit about two murderous women competing for tabloid celebrity, leads the 75th Anniversary Academy Awards contenders with 13 nominations, among them Best Picture and four acting honors: lead actress Renee Zellweger, supporting acresses Queen Latifah and Catherine Zeta-Jones, and supporting actor John C. Reilly. "Chicago" director Rob Marshall also earned a nomination.

The film remains one of the top-five draws at the box office. The soundtrack, released on Epic Records, holds steady in the Top 10 on the SoundScan charts in both Canada and the U.S. Vocals for the soundtrack were recorded at Metalworks Studios back in December 2001, and included visits from all the nominated actors and actresses.
