VISUAL PRODUCTION

Metalworks DVD is pleased to offer client services in Visual Production, including, but not limited to music videos, live performance, interviews, EPK’s, etc. This allows us to manage your complete DVD project in-house.

Once the creative/concept has been approved our in-house producers will take care of the details. Whether the ‘show’ calls for 16mm, 35mm, HD or DV Cam we handle all contracting of appropriate crews and equipment, schedules, budgets, locations etc.

MOTION AND STILL MENU DESIGN

The menus carry the overall impression of your DVD title, so we work closely with you to ensure that the concept and design best fits the demographic you are appealing to. We can either incorporate your cover artwork or bring in other dynamic design elements.

INTERACTIVE FEATURES

This is the fun stuff for special features. Whether in the format of a game or links to interesting web content, we’d be more than happy to provide you with fresh ideas based on your specific project. ASSET MANAGEMENT / CONSULTING

“Assets” represent all elements required to fulfill your DVD title. We will assist you in concluding what elements you require and the necessary formats.

POST PRODUCTION (EDITING / DESIGN)

Metalworks DVD offers full service post-production. We can conceptualize and edit any media format to create visually stunning imagery to support your audio - everything from photo collages, home movies, drawings, paintings, etc. We can also aid you if you are in need of stock images and clearance.

Whether you’d like to utilize our in-house editor or contract one specifically geared for your project, our editing suite offers clients a choice… based on your needs we house both Avid and Final Cut Pro systems.

AUDIO / VIDEO ENCODING

Our in-house specialists work together to ensure all elements meet quality specifications. This ENSURES that your project will not derail due to unforeseen sync issues.

AUTHORING

This is the final stage of creating your DVD title. It’s when we bring together all of your assets and lay out the navigation (how your DVD will operate). Again, we approach this on a project-by-project basis, keeping in mind the demographic you are appealing to. The disc is then laid out to meet DVD specifications and format, and delivered to you for final approval. Once final approval has been granted we then transfer the disc image to the DLT for replication.
